STUDENT PROTECTION SCHEME (SPS) FOR
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS APPLYING TO STUDY IN ATCEM
WHAT IS STUDENT
PROTECTION SCHEME (SPS)?
The SPS serves to protect the students’ fees in the event ATCEM
as a PEO1 is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or
regulatory closure. Furthermore, the SPS protects the student if the
PEO fails to pay penalties or return fees to the student arising
from judgements made against it by the Singapore courts.
ATCEM has chosen Student Tuition Fee Insurance as its scheme for
student protection.
WHAT IS THE STUDENT TUITION FEE INSURANCE?
The Student Tuition Fee Insurance indemnifies students for their
tuition fees paid in advance to the PEO for the following events:
When circumstances listed in Paragraph 1 occur, or
Upon death or total permanent disability of the student.
Every International student accepted for admission to ATCEM will
need to apply for this Student Tuition Fee Insurance with a CASE2
endorsed insurance company.
