Our Mission
ATCEM was established in 1982 with a
vision to equip believers who have a call of God on their lives to be
effective ministers of the Gospel in this present move of the Holy
Spirit. ATCEM seeks to impart vision for missions and evangelism so that
its graduates will be prepared either to go forth as missionaries
themselves or raise missions giving and missionary sending churches.
ATCEM is a learning resource where ministers can develop the leadership
gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher and equip
“…the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the Body of
Christ…” (Ephesians 4:12)
ATCEM’s essential
mission therefore is to provide, in a charismatic Christian context,
advanced educational opportunity which will enable the students:
-
To develop
academically through enhanced and deepened biblical and theological
understanding.
-
To develop personal
giftings and ministerial skills in preparation for ministry to the
Lord, His Church and the world.
-
To enrich personal
preparation for participation in the fulfillment of the Great
Commission, propagating the Christian faith and planting churches.
Philosophy Of Training And
Education
ATCEM's philosophy of preparation for ministry centres in integrating
training and education with experience - a "hands-on approach." It is
believed that, classroom work and actual experience should occur
concurrently and can occur best within the context of a strong missions
and church planting centre. The students who are from Victory Family
Centre are expected to be involved in the many facets of this dynamic
charismatic church on a regular basis. Students coming from elsewhere
are expected to be involved in their churches as much as possible while
attending ATCEM classes.
The leadership and
instructional personnel of ATCEM are drawn from the same centre along
with instructional key pastors, church leaders and professors from
around the world who bring a richness of knowledge and experience and
provide a world-wide integrational learning experience. Throughout its
existence, ATCEM has engaged the services of a core of distinguished
professors who regularly come to ATCEM. Usually they teach the same
course and often they are the same courses they teach in their colleges
and seminaries. A number of them are pastors of the churches that
likewise distinguished in size and spiritual ministry.
Training Integrated with
Education and Enrichment (TIEE)
is a concept that
expresses ATCEM's philosophy of education. ATCEM working under the
sponsorship and in close relationship to VFC, provides opportunity for
continuing development in pastoral leadership, evangelism and missions
along with biblical and theological depth. The programme involves
personal ministry development as well as Biblical, Theological, General
and Professional studies.
